We are Sweden's oldest publishing house
Founded in Sweden. Based in central Stockholm since 1882. Norstedts is Sweden's oldest publishing house, founded in 1823. The publishing programme comprises both fiction and non-fiction. Children's books are published under the Rabén & Sjögren imprint.
Our offices are located in the beautiful Norstedts building, a Stockholm City landmark which was built in 1882–1889.
Norstedts used the New Media TV platform to create moving images and sound for new book releases. They created a wide selection of movies, for both fiction and non-fiction books, for channels such as in-store digital screens, Facebook and Instagram.
The content centered around a set of prepared video concepts for different kind of books, video formats and lengths. The most common formats have been square and landscape videos in the length of 6 and 15 seconds.
Norstedts chose sound created by sound designers from Boid and Soundproof, as well as external sound effects, to their movies. The mood of the sound is calm, folk and youthful, made up of instruments such as acoustic guitar, base, piano and synth. BPM is 96.
